Job Specification
 

Title:   Technical Support Consultant
 
Job Summary
K3 are a leading supplier of integrated business systems to the manufacturing and distribution markets.  The Technical Support Consultant will join an established team of Helpdesk professionals responsible for providing full support to our client base.     
 
Key Responsibilities include:
• Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
• Answering support calls or queries raised by clients on functionality within the software
• Testing program changes and liaising with the software authors
• Preparing “How To” guides and supporting documentation
• Liaising with and supporting the rest of the team
• Working closely with all other departments within the business
• Providing occasional webinars and training to clients and colleagues


Skills and Experience 


Experience
• Knowledge of modern ERP software applications, preferably SYSPRO, within a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of SQL, VB scripting, Customisation, XML and XSL translation
• Experience with SYSPRO E.Net applications and interfacing with business objects
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports
• Experience of working in a software support environment or an aptitude for application support
• Knowledge of Accounts / VAT and Payroll would be advantageous

Working Environment
The role will be primarily based in our offices in Salford Quays, Manchester. The role may occasionally involve travel to client sites throughout the UK so a full driving licence is required.
