K3 invests in people to meet customer needs

K3's Dozen Defies Market Slowdown
K3 Supply Chain Solutions (K3SCS), the manufacturing and distribution division of K3 Business Technology Group plc, continues to go from strength to strength, having already won 12 new customers since the beginning of the year.
Despite reports of tough trading conditions in the wider economy, it would appear that British manufacturing is in good shape, with demand for K3SCS’s Syspro based ERP solutions being stronger than ever as manufacturers look to maintain their competitive edge.
Not only has K3SCS recently achieved some exciting new customer wins but it is also experiencing strong demand from its existing customer base, with revenues up 25% compared to 2007.
This demand is not restricted to just one sector either. The new customers cover a range of industries such as food, medical services, fabrication and packaging distribution. New customers include:
- Intocast, a multinational manufacturer of refractories and castings
- Fayrefield, an international food ingredients manufacturer based in Crewe which is implementing a new Syspro system with the emphasis on shop floor control; and
- Directa, an Essex based distributor of tapes, adhesives and abrasives.
The second half of 2008 looks equally promising and in order to support these strong levels of demand, K3SCS continues to recruit new staff with ten having joined over the last six months.
