K3 announces new features to SYSPRO HR solution


K3 Business Technology Group has announced significant enhancements to its flagship Human Resource (HR) application SYSPRO HR. The upgrades deliver improved functionality and enhancements to the user interface and Payroll, Personnel, T&A (Time and Attendance), real-time SFDC (shopfloor data collection) modules and self-service Employee Portal feature.

K3 has released the upgrade in response to examining customers’ needs and its commitment to continual investment in developing its business software products. SYSPRO HR integrates with SYSPRO financial and manufacturing modules and allows data to be captured automatically via barcode, proximity tag and biometric readers. SYSPRO HR is continually developed to reflect the latest statutory changes as they are introduced and the payroll module is fully accredited by HM Revenue and Customs, allowing electronic data transfer by the Internet.

“SYSPRO centralises HR data and functions giving managers improved access to accurate personnel information. This enables HR departments to gain efficiencies while saving time and reducing administration costs. In addition the Employee Portal module delivers a user-friendly self-service interface that enables staff to check work schedules, holidays, etc, via the Web. This allows employees to update records instantly and reduces mundane administration by HR departments, which further saves time and management costs,” said Howard Joseph.

 

Some of the changes included in the enhanced version of SYSPRO HR include a revised start-up menu; extended graphing functionality; improved database functionality for employees and payroll; adjusted Year End layouts and documentation; updated Tax codes; health and safety reporting covering equipment, substances and incidents; and time and attendance with improved employee roster and holiday/absence organiser.


For the self-service employee web portal, there is a whole host of applications available for employees to access their personnel information such as new holiday transactions, monthly work schedule and attendance summary have been added; and shopfloor data collection via the Portal and Toolbox has been upgraded with a new flag for absence reasons, a new preference to ‘Show all Job Materials’, a larger display clock and new realtime options to prevent display of documents/images and/or outstanding quantities.
